Karma Choying Kunkyab Ling
Karma
Choying Kunkyab Ling was established in March 1999 to propagate the
profound teachings and practices of Vajrayana Buddhism according to the
unbroken lineage of the Karma Kagyu. The Centre was inaugurated on 1
September 2001 by our Resident Rinpoche, His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa
Rinpoche. The name of the centre, ˇ°Karma Choying Kunkyab Lingˇ±, was
given by His Holiness, The 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Urgyen Trinley
Dorje through the renowned meditational master His Eminence Bokar
Rinpoche.
The centre, located
on the 2nd floor of the Yeo's Building, Telok Blangah Sreet 31, was
renovated through the generous donations and kind support of members and
friends. It consists of a shrine hall, office, dining room, Lama and
Rinpoche rooms. The shrine hall houses a 3-foot image of Buddha Sakyamuni
in the centre, flanked on each side with the images of Four-Arm Chenrezig
and Guru Padmasambhava. Among the tangkas in the shrine hall is one of
Ashobhya Buddha, which was presented to the centre by H.H. Urgyen
Trinley Dorje. A poem composed by H.H. Urgyen Trinley Dorje in the Chinese
language is prominently displayed at the entrance to the Centre.
